Respite & Relaxation Giveaway!

Sandra’s Home Health Care is thrilled to announce our Respite & Relaxation Contest! We believe that Family Caregivers deserve a much-needed break and a chance to recharge. Do you know someone who tirelessly cares for a parent or loved one? This contest is for them!


A Family Caregiver is a relative, family member, friend, or neighbor who provides assistance related to an underlying or ongoing mental or physical ailment or disability. This care is delivered at home, is unpaid, and is often unrecognized. 


Between July 21st and August 21st, we are giving YOU the opportunity to submit a brief story about your care journey as a family caregiver. Tell us about your dedication, love, and the challenges you've faced along the way.


🎉 The Winner will receive:


  1. 24 hours of Certified PSW Respite services provided by Sandra’s Home Health Care to ensure your loved one is receiving the care they deserve.
  2. $1500 for a Weekend Getaway of their choosing! With a retail value of $1500, the possibilities are endless.


Examples could be a Spa Weekend at the Prince of Wales in Niagara on the Lake, a Weekend Getaway to Toronto, $1500 in air fare or $1500 towards hotel accommodations of your choosing!


To participate:


1️⃣ Submit your story (maximum 500 words) through the contest entry form BELOW.


2️⃣ Deadline for submissions is August 21st, 2023, at 11:59 PM (EST).


3️⃣ One lucky winner will be selected by our panel of judges based on their story, dedication, 

and impact of their care journey.


4️⃣ The winner will be notified by email or phone within five (5) days of the winner selection.

*A panel of judges from Sandra's Home Health Care will review all the submissions and select a winner. The decision will be based on the story's impact, creativity, and the extent of care demonstrated. The winner will be announced on August 22nd, 2023 at 12pm via our official social media platforms and contacted directly via email or phone.

Sandra went above and beyond as an advocate for Peter’s private care

Sandra’s Home Health Care has given my family so much compassion and support over the past four years while Peter was in LTC due to brain injuries sustained in a car accident years earlier.


Being from out of town and a few hours away from St. Catharines, Sandra went above and beyond as an advocate for Peter’s private care and was in contact with me weekly or as required.


I cannot say enough about her pleasant and efficient Administrative Staff and her PSW’s. Everyone that is connected to SHHC shows their professionalism towards their clients.

We heard about Sandra's Home Health care from a neighbor who highly recommended them.


When I contacted Sandra's, their office staff came to the house to meet with us. They wanted to learn more about my husband to ensure that they could personality match and find a ‘good fit’ for Bill and for consistency they aim to schedule the same PSW(s) as much as possible.


My husband was a sports fanatic and they could not have found a better fit than Dan. They hit it off right away and that meant that Bill was able to engage in lively conversation (most days) on sports and other topics/events. When we had to travel to Hamilton, PSW Cathy rearranged her schedule so that she could come with us. This was really appreciated and made a bad situation a little more bearable. At the beginning, there were a few glitches, but they were acknowledged and corrected immediately.


I would recommend SHHC because they are caring, considerate, flexible and go out of their way to accommodate.
